Argentina have drafted Lucas Borges in to their Rugby World Cup squad after Gonzalo Tiesi was ruled out of the rest of the tournament through injury.

Tiesi suffered ligament damage in his right knee after being hit hard by England lock Courtney Lawes towards the end of Saturday's Pool B clash in Dunedin and is set to return to Buenos Aires on Tuesday. His place in the Pumas panel has been taken by Borges, who played five games during the 2007 World Cup in France.

Stade Francais centre Tiesi, meanwhile, claims that he has little interest in the debate over the legality of Lawes' challenge and indeed whether or not there was any malice in it. "It matters little whether his intentions were good or not, I'm still injured," he said.

"I'm sad because of all the work I've put in just to be here. I'm all right because I've nothing to reproach myself with, and I'm proud to have done my utmost on the field for 35 minutes with this team."
