Argentina must make do without the services of captain Felipe Contepomi in Saturday's World Cup clash with Romania in Invercargill.

The Stade Francais playmaker has been ruled out of the game at Rugby Park with the rib injury he sustained in Saturday's defeat by England and his unavailability results in a back-line reshuffle. Santiago Fernandez has been switched from inside centre to fly-half, with Martin Rodriguez moving into midfield. Lucas Gonzalez fills the void left by Rodriguez at fullback. Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe assumes the role of captain in the absence of Contepomi.

There is one other change in personnel to the side which faced England and it, too, is injury enforced, with Marcelo Bosch taking over at outside centre from Gonzalo Tiesi, whose tournament is over after suffering knee ligament damages as a result of a challenge from Courtney Lawes.

Argentina: Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino; Gonzalo Camacho, Marcelo Bosch, Martin Rodriguez, Horacio Agulla; Santiago Fernandez, Nicolas Vergallo; Rodrigo Roncero, Mario Ledesma, Juan Figallo; Manuel Carizza, Patricio Albacete; Julio Farias Cabello, Juan Manuel Leguizamon, Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe (capt).

Replacements: Agustin Creevy, Martin Scelzo, Mariano Galarza, Alejandro Campos, Alfredo Lalanne, Nicolas Sanchez, Juan Jose Imhoff
