Japan head coach John Kirwan has made two changes to his starting line-up for their final Rugby World Cup outing, against Canada in Napier on Tuesday.

Both changes come in the pack, with Nozomu Fujita taking over at tight-head prop from Kensuke Hatakeyama, who drops to the bench, and Sione Talikavili Vatuvei replacing Itaru Taniguchi at blindside flanker.

Takashi Kikutani will again skipper the Cherry Blossoms, who are still searching for their first World Cup win in 20 years following their midweek defeat by Tonga.

Japan: Shaun Webb; Kosuke Endo, Alisi Tupuailai, Ryan Nicholas, Hirotoki Onozawa; James Arlidge, Fumiaki Tanaka; Hisateru Hirashima, Shota Horie, Nozomu Fujita; Luke Thompson, Toshizumi Kitagawa; Sione Talikavili Vatuvei, Michael Leitch, Takashi Kikutani (capt).

Replacements: Yusuke Aoki, Kensuke Hatakeyama, Hitoshi Ono, Toetuu Taufa, Atsushi Hiwasa, Murray Williams, Bryce Robins.
