Canada boss Kieran Crowley has made just one change to his tried and trusted starting line-up ahead of Tuesday's Rugby World Cup Pool A showdown with Japan at McLean Park.

After naming the same XV for the Canucks' clashes with Tonga and France, Crowley has opted to replace Ciaran Hearn with Matt Evans on the right wing for the meeting with the Cherry Blossoms in Napier.

There is, however, one other change on the bench, where Nanyak Dala makes way for Jeremy Kyne.

Canada: James Pritchard; Matt Evans, DTH van der Merwe, Ryan Smith, Phil Mackenzie; Ander Monro, Ed Fairhurst; Hubert Buydens, Pat Riordan (capt), Jason Marshall; Jebb Sinclair, Jamie Cudmore; Adam Kleeberger, Chauncey O'Toole, Aaron Carpenter.

Replacements: Ryan Hamilton, Scott Franklin, Tyler Hotson, Jeremy Kyne, Sean White, Nathan Hirayama, Conor Trainor
