Australia centre Pat McCabe is confident of being fit for their World Cup semi-final against New Zealand on Sunday.

McCabe was replaced early in the second half of the Wallabies' 11-9 victory over South Africa after dislocating his right shoulder for the second time in two weeks. The 23-year-old originally dislocated the shoulder in the pool match against the United States.

"It'll be right, it's definitely not as bad as it was after the USA game so fingers crossed," McCabe said. "I'll have to look after it during the week and then hopefully from there I'll be right to go."

"The medical staff are always a bit more pessimistic than me but they've just said 'ice it and look after and we'll go from there'. I won't be doing too much in the first half of the week and I'm pretty sure I'll be right."
