Biarritz will be without star scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili for their Heineken Cup clash with Saracens on Saturday.

The 31-year-old struggled in the latter stages of the World Cup with a thigh injury and he underwent scans on Monday which determined the injury has once again flared up following their 28-21 loss to the Ospreys. The MRI scan showed traces of bleeding on the hematoma which means the 59-cap French international faces 15 days on the sidelines.

"He complained of pain at half-time and during the second half - every time he kicked he felt like he was punched in the leg," said Biarritz coach Patrice Lagisquet. The 15-day layoff means the scrum-half will also be forced to miss the Top 14 basement side's clash with Racing Metro.
