Cory Jane has become the latest Rugby World Cup-winner to sign a new deal with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU).

The winger, capped 32 times since 2008, has agreed to remain with the Hurricanes and Wellington until 2014.

Fly-half Aaron Cruden also committed his future to the NZRU last week and Jane confirmed, via his Twitter account, that he still harbours international ambitions.

"I really enjoy playing my rugby for the Hurricanes and Wellington - it is my home and I love it here," he said. "Adding to that, I still have a desire to be an All Black and to play for my country so hopefully I play well enough to get more opportunities in the black jersey."

Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett welcomed the news and praised Jane for his growing responsibility within the Super Rugby franchise.

"Cory has really taken on a leadership role this year and has a great work ethic especially off the field," he said. "He is continually working on his game and is encouraging to the younger players around him."
