Leicester Tigers winger Niki Goneva has returned to the Fiji squad to face Wales this Saturday after visa problems kept him out of the 40-15 defeat to France in Marseille last weekend. Ospreys centre Josh Matavesi is also available to face his regional team-mates after recovering from injury.

"Josh Matavesi has rejoined the squad following injury and Vereniki Goneva has also joined the squad," Fiji coach John McKee said. "Goneva was unable to travel to France last week due to late issue of his visa."

The pair have joined the rest of the squad in Cardiff. Goneva is one of the Premiership's star wingers, having scored 12 tries on his way to topping the try-scorers table last season. He's already notched four scores this season, too. Matavesi joined Ospreys from relegated Worcester Warriors in the summer and has been in impressive form as the region have won their first seven Pro12 games.

Fiji were outclassed by the French on Saturday but scored a pair of fine tries. McKee promised that lessons would be learnt from the defeat.

"We arrived in Cardiff after a long travel from Marseille and woke up to a showery morning, much colder than what we had faced in the South of France," he added. "At Test match level against Tier One nations, we need to be at our very best in all aspects of the game to be competitive. Everything counts at this level of the game and, as we saw last week, good teams take their opportunity when they get it, and will punish mistakes."
