Ireland are yet to determine the extent of Jonathan Sexton's injury after he was forced off in their 19-9 win over England on Sunday.

Sexton scored 14 of Ireland's points but was replaced in the 54th minute by Ian Madigan when he injured his hamstring kicking the conversion for Robbie Henshaw's try.

"Johnny just felt a twinge in the hamstring when he was kicking the conversion from the corner," Ireland coach Joe Schmidt said. "We haven't yet had it assessed so we can't comment on the severity or non-severity of that."

Ireland also saw Sean O'Brien and Jared Payne forced off after they sustained knocks to the head. O'Brien will go through the mandatory return-to-play protocols while they are yet to determine whether Payne requires to go through the same procedure.

"Sean O'Brien - we're not quite sure how it happened, we've had a look at the tape," Schmidt said. "He will go through the head injury protocols so he will go through those in the next six days. He's asymptomatic at the moment, he's just a little bit grumpy he didn't see out the match.

"Jared Payne is fine. We just felt it was pertinent it was time to relieve him at that stage. We feel comfortable with Tommy [Bowe] in the centres and Felix [Jones] has been great for us."

England coach Stuart Lancaster said there were no significant injuries to report from the loss.
