Zac Guildford has made an immediate impact back in New Zealand rugby, scoring two tries for Hawke's Bay as the Magpies defeated Wairarapa-Bush 58-7 to retain the Ranfurly Shield at McLean Park in Napier.

The former Crusaders and All Blacks winger, playing full-back in his first game back in New Zealand since departing French Top 14 club Clermont Auvergne halfway through a two-year contract, scored the Magpies' second try after good work by Sanaila Waqa. getting across for Hawke's Bay's second. Guildford doubled up as the Magpies piled on 41 unanswered points in the second half.
