Stade Rochelais - La Rochelle - have completed a sizeable transfer coup ahead of next season with the signing of Clermont Auvergne fly-half Brock James.

James, 34, joins on a two-year deal and will bring vast experience to Stade Marcel-Deflandre. He has been at Clermont since 2006 and has established himself as one of the Top 14's premier fly-halves.

The Australia-born No.10 will link up with his new side at the end of the season and will join a team which currently features France prop Uini Atonio, Fiji No.8 Jone Qovu, South Africa scrum-half Ricky Januarie and Samoa wing Alofa Alofa.
