Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville is set to give a motivational talk to the England squad ahead of their defence of the Six Nations title.

The 36-year-old ex-England international is one of a number of leading figures to have been invited to address the players by interim head coach Stuart Lancaster who is keen to re-focus his side following a turbulent few months.

Neville, capped 85 times and a veteran of two FIFA World Cup campaigns, is expected to offer an insight into his 12-year international career and divulge what it mean to him to represent his country. Among the other high-profile visitors to England's four-day camp at Yorkshire Division Two club West Park Leeds will be British cycling chief Dave Brailsford and English cricket chief Hugh Morris.

The Daily Telegraph reports that England rugby league internationals players Jamie Peacock and Kevin Sinfield are also set to speak as well as Simon Brown, a former army corporal who was shot in the face while serving in Iraq.

"These people know all about what it means to represent their country, what it means to fight for their country," Lancaster said. "We want to create a sense of what a privileged place it is to be in elite sport. Cycling and cricket have clearly done something well, haven't they?"
