What do you do the day before your biggest pool match at Rugby World Cup 2015? If you're the All Blacks, a spot of golf in some rare London sunshine sounds about right.

That was certainly the case for Conrad Smith, Ben Smith, Victor Vito and Colin Slade on Saturday anyway, with the quartet turning out for sponsor AIG's golf day at Furwell Golf Club, just a short walk from the scene of the tournament-opening match between England and Fiji at Twickenham on Friday.

The All Blacks commence their campaign on Sunday, against SANZAR rivals Argentina in a match that will likely present their only real test in a weak Pool C. But the defending champions aren't looking any further than Sunday's clash at Wembley Stadium, and they wouldn't be drawn on talk that their comfortable win over the Pumas in Christchurch pointed to a similarly smooth result in London.

"World Cups are quite different, you know like previous results don't really mean anything," back-rower Victor Vito said. "And the way they also went on after that and beat the South Africans at home [in Durban] - that's them showing what their capabilities are; so we're definitely pretty pumped for this game, as I'm sure they are."

While the All Blacks eased to a comfortable win over the Pumas in the Rugby Championship, they did concede back-to-back five pointers via a lineout drive; Vito said the side had "looked at a few things to try and combat that". Following their clash with the Pumas, the All Blacks face Namibia, Georgia and then Tonga - three matches that are unlikely to see them shift beyond second gear. But utility back Colin Slade said the All Blacks hadn't even considered those later fixtures, despite constant suggestions the lack of opposition would leave them underdone for the knockout phase.

"They're going to be tough; we know that," Slade said of the Pumas. "We're expecting them to be very tough. They've come a long way in the last couple of years playing in the Rugby Championship; they've adapted and certainly got better.

"So they're a massive challenge for us first up, and we're not looking past this game; we're really focusing on this game and getting the job done here and, like 'Snake' [Conrad Smith] said, worrying about getting on with the tournament after this game. So for us it's all about this game and getting this one out of the way."

It wasn't all golf and sunshine on Saturday, either, with the All Blacks set for a final captain's run later in the afternoon. For the record, though, all four showed some form with the clubs; Smith eventually leading the "Pink Team" to a memorable victory.
