Romania flanker Valentin Ursache has been banned for one week for a dangerous tackle during the Oaks' opening Rugby World Cup defeat against France. Romania frustrate France despite defeat
%]Ursache, 30, will miss Sunday's game against Ireland, having originally been named in Lynn Howells' starting XV. Viorel Lucaci will take Ursache's place at blind-side. While worthy of a citation, Ursache's offence was deemed to be a minor offence and, taking into account his excellent previous disciplinary record and the absence of aggravating factors, the typical two-week suspension was cut to one. Ursache has 48 hours in which to appeal, but will not be eligible to play before September 28. Romania: Fercu, Apostol, Kinikinilau, Gal, Botezatu, Wiringi, Calafeteanu; A.
