Hello and welcome to ESPNscrum's coverage of England v Italy at Twickenham

Stuart Lancaster tells BBC Sport: "First of all I'm delighted for them that they got their rewards [against Wales]. I felt at half-time we were composed and controlled. In the second we showed our dominance. But that was last week and we're onto this week, I can assure you. It's very much getting our feet back on the ground. There's lots of things we can improve on and definitely from our performance against Italy two years ago."

Here come Italy, with Chris Robshaw ready to lead England out. No tunnel stand-off at Twickenham ...

Time for the anthems and it's absolutely chucking it down ... Conditions had looked perfect until about two minutes ago

From ESPNscrum's Tom Hamilton at Twickenham: "Light drizzle in the air, no wind. England should win but expect Italy to be competitive and keep in touch until the last 30 minutes or so. England's superior fitness should shine through then."

1

We're underway! Sloppy pass early on from Youngs but Ford clears ...

2

England breaking forward here, Brown carries it in. Ford to Vunipola. Back to Ford who kicks into touch again. Well-judged from Ford. Italy fluff a second line out in a row

3 0 - 5

All the early ball with England, poked forward but McLean clears for Italy. Now England have messed up a lineout...

4

Good burst forward down the left from Morisi. Italy threatening here and Parisse breaks through! TRY ITALY

5

What a start for Italy. Deserved. Morisi made the ground initially. England missing far too many tackles there. They had the numbers to deal with that. Haimona's kick misses, though, and it stays 5-0 to Italy.

6

Brown hoists it high but Gori and McLean keep it in

7

Nice dummy by Haimona - sold the kick and shimmied to his left. Penalty eventually awarded to Italy - a fantastic start from the visitors

8

Scrum to England - stats showing five missed tackles for the hosts so far...

9

Penalty doesn't come for England, Fords kicks into the arms of McLean. Knock on from Brown as he tried to take it forward, Italy put in

11

Italy get the ball way. The visitors get another penalty with England not rolling away - England making the same mistakes they made in the early going against Wales

13

Italy pouring forward again! Beautiful pick up by Masi is spilled, however, and back it comes. Mike Brown is out cold after a collision with Masi there, though. Accidental, shoulder to head. England medical staff quickly on and the stretcher is out. England need to regroup here. Twelvetrees comes on as Brown is strapped to the stretcher. Thankfully Brown has shown signs of movement and is talking to the medics. Watson goes to full-back and Joseph out to the wing, Twelvetrees into the centre

We're back underway. England need to stay sharp, scrum on the five-yard line. England's ball. Great drive by England and they get a penalty

14

Ball cleared into touch by Ford.

15

England going through the phases. Robshaw out wide on the right. Coming back left, crowd have fallen a bit quiet but here comes Watson! That gets them going. England threatening

18

England with another chance to go forward, Burrell can't quite get the pass away but England have the penalty. Deliberate knock down

19

Ford kicks into touch - lineout just inside the Italian 22. Taken down by Kruis. England have the advantage after Haimona takes out Youngs. Ref pulls it back.

20 3 - 5

No problem for Ford - England have their first points on the board

22

Joseph eventually takes down the high kick.

23 8 - 5

Ford comes from deep again, onto May. Ghiraldini comes steaming in from the side and penalty to England. Near-perfect kick from Ford into touch. Haskell to Vunipola who moves over the line - but didn't look like there was a grounding. Great defensive work from Gori - but TMO awards a TRY! Questionable - was he in control of the ball? ...

24

England take the lead, and Ford's kick is wide of the left post. Billy Vunipola's second try for England

26 13 - 5

Knock on from Italy but advantage over. Kick bounces the wrong side of the corner flag and back they come.

27

Joseph breaks through and he goes all the way from almost the half-way line! Outstanding solo try, outwit's Italy's backline, skipping past the tackles. Great turnover from Twelvetrees and Robshaw in the build-up

28 15 - 5

Ford adds the extras and England lead by 10 points

30

Sarto sends it high, but Italy have the penalty. Haskell was offside as the ball was lost forward

31

Italy with a chance to keep themselves right in it here. Haimona shanks it right. Wasted opportunity there

33

Another penalty to Italy for English hands in the ruck. Haimona to have another crack ...

34

It's 50 metres but way short from Haimona. Italy could have put that deep into English territory...

35

There goes Youngs on the break, off to Vunipola on the left. Taken down but England coming forward. Twelvetrees out wide to May but he's also taken down. Missed opportunity

37

Blue put in,

38

England eventually get the penalty from the collapsing scrum. Minto back on in the Italian back row. England get the penalty again. Italy warned, England will come again

39

Good take by Haskell, Italy standing firm but starting to fracture.

40

But Italy have the scrum - top work. Sloppy from England again

It's England 15-5 Italy at the break.

Tom Hamilton's verdict so far: "England not at their fluent best, but they have the lead. Italy more than here just to make up the numbers. First half marred by the injury to Mike Brown but they rode their luck for Vunipola's score."

40

Back underway at Twickenham

41

Vunipola charging forward again down the right. England threatening early on. No way through so far

42

Italy defence holding firm. Turnover, Castro back to Venditti. Another turnover! Chipped over the top but goes all the way out with Masi alert

43

Furno waiting to come on for Italy. Haimona's kick taken down by Kruis. Vunipola to Twelvetrees as England come down the left again

44

Big carry from Atwood as he barges through the centre. Advantage to England - Minto coming in at the side. Back it comes for the panlty

45 18 - 5

Ford with the chance to extend the lead. He's hit two from three so far ... no problem. Italy bring Furno on for Bortolami

47

Scrum goes down, advantage played. Twelvetrees sees the space, Ford now into Gori. Watson nearly away again but Haimona takes him down

48

England going through the phases, but they're back to the halfway line. Ford kicks it high, McLean with the clean take.

49 18 - 10

Sarto was nearly away there. But ball is worked out to Morisi on the left. Dummy is bought, he's tripped but gets to his feet to cross. TRY! Excellent effort

50

Another wayward kick from Haimona, though. Atwood off and Easter on for England. Eight points in it

51

Joseph chips through but McLean sees it out.

52

Italian lineout. They need to clear here. Gori spills under pressure, though, and England have the scrum right under the posts. Mike Brown shown on the bench on the big screen to huge applause from Twickenham - great to see he's OK

54 23 - 10

Heave is the cry form Twickenham and penalty is given. Quickly taken tap-penalty and Youngs goes over! Ultimate opportunism there, Italy caught cold.

55 25 - 10

Ford adds the extras again - England's lead stretched to 15 points

57 28 - 10

Masi spills it, penalty given away. Bergamasco on the ground with a head injury. Ford's kick is fine and England now cruising

58

Tom Youngs on for Hartley, Brookes also on for Cole

60 33 - 10

Joseph through again! He gets his second try. Great dummy from Ford before a wonderful popped pass to Joseph, who went all the way through again

62 35 - 10

Conversion is good, and here comes Danny Cipriani for his first Six Nations appearance since 2008

63 42 - 10

TRY from Cipriani! Twelvetrees feeds May, who stands his winger up before finding Cipriani. He ghosts through a minute after coming on. Two touches and a try in one minute, not a bad effort ... England running riot - three tries in eight minutes overall. Cipriani adds the extras. What a moment for him

65

Bergamasco has been patched up and is set to come back on. Ball spilled by Italy and Cipriani boots it out

67

Here comes the England counter. May bursts down the left again, eventually comes back for the penalty. Italy imploding here.

68 47 - 10

Heave is the cry from Twickenham again and Nick Easter crosses at the heart of the England drive! His sixth try for his country. This has become a complete rout

69

Kick from Cipriani veers away. Haimona trudges off for Italy

70

Italy have the penalty, England in at the side. McLean kicks into touch

71

England turnover and Twelvetrees kicks deep. Venditti returns the favour but here comes Watson

72

Cipriani kicks but McLean catches easily. Beautiful kick from him into touch

73

Wigglesworth under pressure and kicks into touch, but still inside the 22. Chris Robshaw leading the way with 14 tackles today...

74

Italy get it back here after some good defensive play from Croft at the lineout

75

Masi bulldozes his way through but is halted in his tracks. Is there a consolation try in this for Italy? McLean with a cheeky chip over the top, it bounces nice for Italy but Biagi can't get it down. Should've done better, perhaps. Looked like he was trying to hand it on to Allan

76

Penalty to Italy here, Parisse calls for the scrum.

78 47 - 15

Italy being pushed back deeper, but Masi bursts through. Nice pass out to Morisi who touches down in the corner ... it goes to the TMO ... try given!

79 47 - 17

Conversion is good from Allan

80

May with a pop forward as England go for another try at the death, but it doesn't stick and there's the whistle

80+1

England with a comfortable victory, but they'll be disappointed with allowing three tries here.

Jonathan Joseph man of the match. He tells BBC Sport: "Defensively we weren't disciplined enough [early on], we allowed them to get on top of us, but we worked much better in the second half."

Stuart Lancaster: "It was a soft try we conceded first off. We gave them a bit of a rev up, told them to up the intensity. We were a little bit off on the back of last week. Slightly disappointed because we could have done a little bit better."
