Harlequins No.8 Nick Easter has escaped further punishment following his sending off during his side's Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final victory over Munster last weekend.

Easter saw red in the latter stages of Quins' 20-12 success at Thomond Park as a result of two yellow cards - the first for an off-the-ball altercation with Munster lock Donncha O'Callaghan and the second for a ruck infringement as the hosts closed in on a try.

But any fears that he may be ruled out of the Challenge Cup Final showdown with Stade Francais in Cardiff on May 21 or Quins' final Premiership outing of the season against Saracens on Saturday have been eased following the results of a disciplinary hearing.

Independent Judicial Officer Roger Morris has determined that the sending-off was a sufficient sanction and as a result Easter is free to play.

Seventh-placed Quins are currently chasing a top six finish in the Premiership that will guarantee Heineken Cup rugby next season but that goal can also be achieved by claiming the Challenge Cup crown.
