Hello and welcome to live coverage of France's clash with England at the Stade de France. Both coaches have named strong sides as they look to finalise their plans for the Rugby World Cup.

1

Referee Jaco Peyper blows his whistle and we're under way in Paris. George Fored kicks deep, but Sebastien Tillous-Borde clears.

2

Penalty to France as Luther Burrell is pinged for not rolling away. Scott Spedding liines up a kick at goal from just inside his own half...

3 3 - 0

The ball sails between the uprights and the hosts have a three-point lead. England hurry the restart and the ball is kicked out on the full. Handing France a scrum on halfway.

4

5

Jonny May challenges with Yoann Huget in the air, the result of which is a scrum to England.

6

England win a penalty from the set piece, and with it a chance to clear their lines.

7

Ford misses touch though and France look to counter. It has not been a composed start for the Bath man.

9

Penalty to France against Dan Cole coming into a ruck from the side. Louis Picamoles tries to take it quickly, but the hosts will instead go for the three points.

10 6 - 0

Frederic Michalak steps up this time, but the result is the same. France are six points clear.

11

England lose a lineout in French territory, with Michalak booting the ball downfield.

12

Another penalty against England at the breakdown gives France the opportunity to secure some territory.

13

14

Mike Brown to the rescue for England. The hosts pick and drive, moving deeper into the visitors' territory before Tillous-Borde chips over the top, but Brown just beats the chasing Huget to the ball.

15

Another penalty to France as England are caught offside.

16 9 - 0

Michalak sends the ball through the posts and France stretch their lead. With that penalty the fly-half becomes his country's all-time leading points scorer.

19

A quick lineout from May gives England the chance to counter from deep, but a mis-judged kick from Ford hands possession back to France, who win another penalty in kicking range.

20

Michalak lets England off the hook that time though as his attempt drifts past the post.

21

The visitors have some respite as Spedding kicks out of play after an excellent clearance from Brown.

22

Just as they look to get the ball through the hands though Brown knocks on and gives impetus, and a scrum, back to France.

24

A powerful push at a scrum gives France another penalty.

25 12 - 0

Michalak takes it on again and from a little closer than his previous miss, he sends it through the posts.

26

Penalty to England as France penalised for not releasing.

27 12 - 3

Ford steps up from just outside the French 22' and gets his side on the board.

28

England have been beaten up in the scrum and hooker Tom Youngs now has a bandage around his head to prove it. France have made just four tackles so far, compared to England's 54.

29

Penalty for England as Eddy Ben Arous is pinged for collapsing a scrum. England had managed to get the ball away, but were going sideways.

30

Ford steps up from the halfway line but his effort is short and Spedding clears.

31

England again have to build from within their own half and Ben Youngs' kick just picks out Noa Nakaitaci, who launches a dangerous counter with Wesley Fofana.

32

Penalty to France for a high tackle on Huget from Billy Vunipola. Peyper goes upstairs but decides against awarding a yellow card.

33 15 - 3

Michalak makes no mistake to restore France's 12-point lead.

34

England set a platform from an attacking lineout but Vunipola loses the ball just as Jonathan Joseph looked to have released him over the gain line. France counter, with Michalak turning Jack Nowell.

35

A mix-up between Ford and Tom Youngs enables France to launch another attack but they ultimately lose possession.

37

England threaten the France 22 amid some extremely tough tackling from the home side.

38

Penalty to England in a very kickable position...

39 15 - 6

Ford fires the ball through the posts and the visitors are within nine points seconds from the break.

40

England collect the restart and Ben Youngs promptly boots the ball out to bring an end to the half. France have been superior in all departments. So far, this has been a huge wake up call for Lancaster's side. Can they turn it around in the second 40 minutes?

40

No changes made by either side at half-time. Brown given an early chance to stretch his legs and England put together their most cohesive attacking move of the game with Courtney Lawes and Nowell involved.

41

Lawes win the lineout and England push on into the French 22'.

42

England's momentum is checked as the ball hits a stray foot and bobbles out of the side of the ruck. Vunipola puts in a big tackle but France manage to clear their lines.

44

France win a scrum penalty with Michalak sending the ball into their opponents' territory.

45 20 - 6

Try for France! The hosts in the lineout, with Picamoles and Mathieu Bastareaud making gains before Huget dances through the English defence for a brilliant score.

46 22 - 6

Michalak adds the extras and the hosts have a 16-point lead. England's positive start to the second half comes to an abrupt end.

48

Tom Youngs loses a third lineout before departing alongside his brother Ben. Jamie George is on for his debut as a blood-injury replacement while Danny Care takes over at scrum-half.

49

Penalty for France as a scrum collapses as England are almost pushed off their own ball. Michalak boots the ball to the corner.

51 22 - 6

Michalak attempts an ambitious drop goal but his effort drifts wide.

52

Ford kicks the ball deep but Spedding is able to watch the ball roll over the try line before touching down.

54

Nakaitaci gains ground for France as France look to drive into the England 22'. The visitors eventually bundle Damien Chouly into touch though.

55

George loses his first throw in Test rugby and France attack. Michalak launches a cross-field kick that May cannot gather but as the hosts look to spin the ball wide Spedding is unable to latch onto Bastareaud's pass.

57

59

The Stade de France pitch has been cutting up since the first minute and not helping England's cause as they try to win a scrum on their own 22.

60

England eventually win the penalty as another scrum goes down and Care takes a quick tap.

61

England clear their lines and then force another lineout deep in France's half.

62

France win the lineout and look to get a maul going that England are forced to pull down. The hosts boot the resulting penalty deep into England's half.

63

Penalty to France as Vunipola is penalised after Yannick Nyanga had made a good break.

65 25 - 6

Michalak easily takes advantage of England's indiscretion putting Les Bleus 19 points in front.

67

A lovely pass from Ford puts Nick Easter through a half gap. Joseph tries a grubber kick through but Tillous-Borde mops up.

68

England are playing with a bit more urgency with ball in hand now and are into the French 22'. Care is adjudged to have knocked on though, although TV replays suggest a French boot knocked the ball out of his hand.

70

England win a scrum penalty of their own and Ford kicks to the corner.

71 25 - 11

Try for England! The visitors inject some pace into their play with Danny Cipriani exploiting an overload to canter over.

72 25 - 13

Ford slots over the extras and England are within two converted scores.

74

England suddenly have the wind in their sails and build another attack that ends in them winning a scrum inside the French 22'.

76

Care gets the ball out quickly, but Twelvetrees throws it behind Joseph and France scramble clear.

77 25 - 18

Try for England! Joseph shows good pace to go over in the corner after being put through by a fine pass from Brown.

78 25 - 20

Ford kicks the conversion from tight on the left touchline and there are just five points in it. The replacements, Care, Cipriani and Easter particularly, have added an urgency to England's play.

79

England are looking to run the ball from deep inside their own half as they look for an unlikely winning try...

80

Penalty to England for offside. No time for a lineout so the visitors run through Vunipola.

80+1

England get as far as the French 10 metre line, but Twelvetrees is pushed back into his own half.

80+2

England are not done though and Nowell tries another run. George and Ford take them into the 22' but as Vunipola looks to find a gap the ball is spilled and France can kick the ball out. France fully deserved this win, even if England restored some pride with a spirited final 10 minutes.
