Exeter Chiefs' flanker James Scaysbrook is a native of Birmingham and began his professional career with Bath.
He played 172 times for his old club, before moving down a division to join the Chiefs with whom he achieved promotion to the Aviva Premiership in 2010. Scaysbrook narrowly missed out on Bath's players' player of the year award in his final season, but he failed to agree terms at the Recreation Ground and moved to Devon.
Scaysbrook is an experienced backrow who can cover all three positions with plenty of power to his ballcarrying game and has became one of Exeter's main men in their debut season in the Premiership.
The England Saxons flanker continued to turn in a series of impressive performances for the Devon side and come April 2012, had played in every single match in the Premiership for the Chiefs. His hard work around the breakdown and never say die attitude led to him being named on the six-man shortlist for the Aviva Premiership Player of the Year.
