Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that Mike Tindall and Akapusi Qera have received a call up from the Barbarians to face Ireland in May.

The match - taking place at Gloucester's Kingsholm - will see the duo run out in front of a home crowd to take on an Ireland side preparing for their summer tour of New Zealand.

Tindall is currently out of the interanational reckoning while Qera turned out for Fiji in the recent World Cup. The pair will be joined in the Barbarians by former Gloucester and Bath fullback Iain Balshaw.

John Kirwan will coach the side and the likes of Shane Williams, Lewis Moody and Joe Rokocoko will all feature at some point in their three match tour.

Barbarians 2012 tour:
May 27 v England - Twickenham
May 29 v Ireland - Gloucester
June 2 v Wales - Millennium Stadium
