Toulouse have announced the capture of Gloucester's Akapusi Qera who will arrive at the Top 14 giants on January 1.

Qera has recently found himself out of favour at Kingsholm and has been linked with a move to Worcester. But with Gregory Lamboley facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to ruptured cruciate ligaments, Toulouse have moved to bolster their back-row resource with the signing of Qera.

The news has received a mixed reaction from both the Gloucester players and supporters with hooker Huia Edmonds taking to Twitter to voice his surprise.
