Argentina will be captained by Worcester Warriors hooker Agustin Creevy for the forthcoming Rugby Championship.

Creevy, 29, has 29 caps for the Pumas and will lead the team into their campaign against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. The news means Creevy is unavailable for Warriors duty until the end of the Championship and he is also likely to be on international duty for the autumn internationals.

On his appointment as Pumas skipper, Creevy said: "The truth is that this is an immense joy. I did not expect this as there are many other players with important qualities. I receive it with great honour and I hope to keep guiding our players and staff to try and put the Pumas on top."
