London Irish and the Dragons both handed out thrashings to Italian sides on Friday evening in the Amlin Challenge Cup.

The Exiles have surprised many with their impressive early season performances and despite ringing the changes for their match against I Cavalieri Prato, they showed no signs of sluggishness against the Italians running in nine tries and emerging 60-11 winners.

Myles Dorrian pulled the strings for London Irish at fly-half and contributed 18 points to their total thanks to five conversions, one penalty and a try. Irish's other tries came through Jimmy Stevens, Andrew Fenby, Sailosi Tagicakibau, Fergus Mulchrone (two), Alex Lewington, Darren Allinson and Leo Halavatau.

And the Dragons also enjoyed an easy ride as they ran out 50-8 victors over Mogliano at Rodney Parade. Kris Burton knocked over 17 points for the Dragons with the crossing for seven tries. It was far too easy for the Welsh side as Ross Wardle, Nahuel Chaparro, Jonathan Evans, Will Harris (two), Ieuan Jones and Will Hughes all scored.
