Toulon are reportedly preparing an offer to tempt Australia star Quade Cooper to the Top 14 next term.

Cooper is currently sidelined for eight weeks with a shoulder injury, and Midi Olympique reports he will use the opportunity to visit Toulon with his manager, Khoder Nasser. Cooper's services will be in high demand as he is one of the world's premier playmakers, and he will have no shortage of suitors.

Cooper has previously spoken of his passion for rugby league, and Japan will be another option, but Australia are unlikely to let Cooper leave without a fight. He is still a key member of their squad, despite an injury-disrupted couple of seasons, and the Australian Rugby Union will be keen to keep Cooper in the country.

Frederic Michalak, Matt Giteau and Juan Martin Hernandez are Toulon's current fly-half options, with the latter only signed on a short-term deal. Toulon had also been linked with Colin Slade before the All Blacks fly-half signed for newly-promoted Pau.
