Saracens loose-head Mako Vunipola will be a shock inclusion in the England squad for the autumn Test series, according to reports.

Vunipola has excelled for Saracens this term and was named Man of the Match in their opening two games of the season. And with Alex Corbisiero out injured, it seems that the 21-year-old will capitalise on his team-mate's misfortune by being named in the 32-man squad for England's matches with Fiji, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand on Thursday, according to reports in the Mail on Sunday.

The loose-head was born in New Zealand and if given the nod, he will take his place in the squad alongside fellow Kiwi-born international Northampton's Dylan Hartley and potentially Leicester's Thomas Waldrom.

If Vunipola is named in the squad then it will cap a remarkable rise in the player's stock. He missed much of his first season with Saracens last term after a pre-season move from Bristol due to injury but he has made eight appearances for them in the current campaign and played in their match with Racing Metro yesterday.

The newspaper also reports that Leicester's Tom Youngs is likely to replace the injured Bath hooker Rob Webber in the party.
