Clark rose to prominence with Leeds, where he made 34 apperances in the Premiership. He joined Northampton Saints in time for the 2010-11 season and made more apperances than any other player that year, including appearing in the 2011 Heineken Cup final.
Clark still holds the record for being the youngest ever forward in the Premiership and has two IRB Junior World Championships under his belt. He was called up to the 2011 Churchill Cup squad by Stuart Lancaster but missed the campaign due to injury.
Clark continued to turn out for Northampton in the Aviva Premiership but his season was brought to an ubrupt halt when he was hit with a 32-week ban for breaking Rob Hawkins' arm during the 2012 Anglo-Welsh Cup final, ruling out a possible England debut.
He made his comeback for the Saints in early November and did enough to impress England coach Stuart Lancaster to re-take his place in the England squad ahead of the 2013 Six Nations.
