January 26, 2007

Sale Sharks pair Jason Robinson (neck) and Mark Cueto (calf) and Paul Sackey (knee) of London Wasps have returned to their clubs after being assessed by the England medical team.

No replacements are being called into the training squad this week.

All members of the 33-man squad were medically assessed yesterday ahead of two days of training at Twickenham Stadium, which take place today and Wednesday.

England Head Coach Brian Ashton said: "I have decided that Jason, Mark and Paul should all continue their rehab and recovery programmes with their clubs. Our medical team will be working closely with the club medics and I will be kept fully informed of their progress."

Louis Deacon (Leicester Tigers), Phil Vickery (London Wasps) and Magnus Lund (Sale Sharks) will not train today because of knee, ankle and calf injuries respectively while Northampton Saints hooker Steve Thompson (neck) and Bristol Rugby scrum-half Shaun Perry (ribs) will take a limited part in the session."
