Aviva Premiership champions Saracens have appointed Heath Harvey as the club's new Chief Executive Officer.

Harvey had previously worked as a director at Club Wembley, overseeing all of the company's commercial activities at Wembley Stadium.

Saracens chairman Nigel Wray told the club's official website that Harvey's experience would help develop the club off the field. "We are delighted to welcome Heath into the Saracens family," he said.

"His proven commercial success combined with an innovative, professional but inclusive approach, made him an obvious choice for the board."

Saracens announced in March that the current CEO, Edward Griffiths, would be leaving the club at the end of the season after seven years with the London based team.

Harvey, who has also worked in the commercial golf and leisure industry, spoke highly of the club's ambition.

"It has been my pleasure to have watched Saracens grow their audience of loyal fans, year on year, to reach world record levels, and it is this bold vision and relentless ambition that attracted me to join the club," he said.

"In both the team and the owners there is a clear desire to innovate and to continually strive to achieve greater success both on and off the pitch."
