© Stu Forster/Getty Images Jake Ball faces a race against time to be fit for any Six Nations action after he picked up a knee injury that will rule him out for 10 weeks. The Wales lock may require surgery after injuring the medial ligament in his left knee during Scarlets' 27-26 defeat by Pro 12 rivals Ospreys on Boxing. "He's got a bit of a tear and he'll see a consultant to get an accurate view," said Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac. "With any luck, it's just a rehab job." Ball, 24, has been capped 15 times by Wales and admitted he was "gutted" to face such a long lay-off with after last appearing for his country in their 54-9 World Cup win over Uruguay. "Absolutely gutted with injury thanks to everyone who sent messages," Ball wrote on Twitter. "Be back bigger and stronger in the new year." © ESPN Sports Media Ltd.
