Argentina face Georgia for only the second time in the Pool B clash in Palmerston North on Sunday.

The only previous meeting between the two nations came in the Pool stages of the last World Cup when Argentina ran out comfortable 33-3 victors in Lyon on their way to finish third in the tournament.

Lucas Borges crossed twice for the Pumas while fellow winger Federico Aramburu and lock Patricio Albacete also scored. Felipe Contepomi landed three penalties and a conversion with Juan Martin Hernandez kicking another conversion. Merab Kvirikashvili, who is set to line up at fly-half on Sunday, scored Georgia's only points with a solitary penalty.

The Pumas have won eight of their previous ten Rugby World Cup fixtures with England and South Africa the only teams to have beaten them - in stark contrast to the nine defeats in their first ten matches at Rugby World Cups.

Unsurprisingly Georgia have struggled since their first Rugby World Cup appearance in 2003 with nine defeats in ten matches. Their one victory came over Namibia in the 2007 World Cup.
