Owen Farrell will start on the bench as Saracens bid to reach their second successive Champions Cup final when they meet Clermont Auvergne in the last four on Saturday.

The England fly-half has has not played since being replaced by Charlie Hodgson in the 18th minute of Saracens' defeat to Clermont in the pool game on January 25

And Saracens coach Mark McCall has decided to stick with Hodgson at No.10 in a bid to maintain momentum.

"It's good to have someone of Owen's personality and skill set to pull in off the bench. He will get his start pretty soon," McCall said.

In Farrell's absence, Saracens have won 10 of 11, including the last-gasp Champions Cup quarter-final victory at Racing Metro on Easter Sunday.

McCall also confirmed Maro Itoje has signed a long-term deal with the club.
