The All Blacks hope Waisake Naholo's lack of exposure to Test rugby can work in their favour at the Rugby World Cup. Highlanders winger Naholo remains on target to return from a fractured leg in New Zealand's third pool game against Georgia.

The 24-year-old, who suffered the injury during his Test debut against Argentina two months ago, ran gently on Monday at the team's first training run since they arrived in London.

"It is coming along pretty good. It is on track," he said.

Assistant coach Ian Foster says the least experienced player in their 31-man squad could be an ace up New Zealand's sleeve. He says teams planning to counter Naholo will have only limited scouting opportunities to assess how to stop the Fijian-born flyer.

They would get some gauge from his deeds for the Super Rugby champion Highlanders, for whom he scored a competition-high 13 tries.

"I guess what they won't know is what he does within our team and our structure and neither do we," Foster said. "He's only played 50 minutes, so we are excited to get him back on the park. He brought a really exciting skill-set to the game so we are looking forward to incorporating that into how we play when he's ready to go."

Foster is relaxed that Naholo still isn't training at full capacity. He is meeting the demands of medical staff and should be in peak physical condition for the Georgia game in Cardiff on October 2.

"I am pretty sure he will be quick," he said.

The All Blacks laced up their boots for the first time on Monday, training at their new southwest London base in Teddington. They will prepare there for nearly two weeks, encompassing their opening pool games against Argentina at Wembley on Sunday followed by Namibia at the Olympic Stadium four days later.
