Top 14 champions Toulouse have bolstered their front-row resources with the signing of experienced prop Eusebio Guinazu on a short-term contract.

Toulouse - who lost their opening clash in the 2011-12 Top 14 season to Bayonne on Friday - have brought in the Pumas prop as a medical joker. They have started the season without Jean-Baptiste Poux, Gurthro Steenkamp and Census Johnston along with hooker William Servat due to the World Cup. And following the news that Daan Human is out for three-months with an arm injury, Toulouse boss Guy Noves acted quickly to bring in the vastly experienced Argentine.

The 29-year-old is equally adept at both prop and hooker and has experience in the Top 14 having played for Toulon, Agen and Biarritz. He has also lined up in Super Rugby for the Stormers. He played for the Pumas during the 2007 World Cup but earned the last of his 15 caps against England back in June 2009.

"Following the serious injury to Daan Human, Toulouse began the search for a prop," a Toulouse statement read.

"It must be said that this twist of fate, combined with the absence of several major players to the World Cup left us little choice. Hence we settled on Eusebio Guinazu who signed for the club on Tuesday and has already taken part in his first training session."
