Romania have opted to shift their backline around ahead of Saturday's Pool B clash with the Pumas in Invercargill.

The most notable absentee is fly-half Marin Dumbrava who was guilty of missing a pair of crucial penalties during his team's opening round loss to Scotland. In his place comes Tiberius Dimofte, who shifts in to the fly-half berth from centre. Replacing Dimofte is Constantin Gheara.

Elsewhere, Ionel Cazan takes his bow on the wing while Florin Surugiu comes into the side at scrum-half. They replace Stefan Ciuntu and Lucian Sirbu make way and fail to even make the bench. Romania will once again be captained by Perpignan hooker Marius Tincu and he claims his side have worked hard to correct the errors which saw their possible upset against the Scots ebb away in the closing stages of the match.

"It's important to be hard so everyone can feel the pressure," Tincu said. "We worked on defence, because against Scotland it didn't work, it wasn't collective."

Romania: Iulian Dumitras, Madalin Vlad Lemnaru, Csaba Minya Gal, Constantin Gheara, Ionel Cazan, Tiberius Ionut Dimofte, Florin Surugiu, Mihaita Alexandru Lazar, Marius Tincu (c), Paulica Ion, Valentin Neculai Ursache, Cristian Constantin Petre, Mihai Macovei, Ovidiu Tonita, Daniel Carpo

Replacements: Bogdan Zebega Suman, Silviu Florea, Valentin Poparlan, Daniel Gabriel Ianus, Valentin Nicolae Calafeteanu, Marin Danut Dumbrava, Florin Adrian Vlaicu.
