Argentina continued their preparations for the Rugby Championship by coming from behind to beat France 23-20 in Cordoba on Saturday.

Winger Manuel Montero bagged the winning try three minutes from time as Santiago Phelan's Pumas backed up last weekend's comfortable win over Italy.

After an early penalty from Morgan Parra, Belisario Agulla took advantage of Francois Trinh-Duc's wayward pass to cross and put the Pumas into a 7-3 lead after only four minutes.

France stormed back and, thanks in part to a try from Toulouse No.8 Louis Picamoles, Les Bleus led 14-13 at the break.

The sides traded penalties - with Argentina skipper Felipe Contepomi battling Parra and his halfback partner Francois Trinh-Duc - in a scrappy second-half as France increased their lead to 20-16.

That was to change in the dying moments as Montero ran on to Joaquin Tuculet's kick to give Argentina the win, with Contepomi eventually contributing 13 points. Argentina will host France again in Tucuman next Saturday.
