Worcester Warriors have bolstered their second-row ranks with the signing of Pumas international Mariano Galarza.

Galarza has played in all four of Argentina's matches in the Rugby Championship and will provide some muscle in the Warriors second-row with Dean Ryan's side still looking for their first win of the 2013-14 campaign.

He becomes the fourth Puma to sign for the Warriors ahead of this season and follows in the footsteps of Leonardo Senatore, Agustin Creevy and Ignacio Mieres. Dean Ryan heralded the new signing, saying: "We're looking for people who want to operate here and want to lift the tempo and play at a high level. Mariano fits into that category and will add to our side as we build for the future."

The Warriors have also added winger Dean Hammond to their ranks who has been awarded a contract after impressing on trial. Ryan added: "I really like him. He played really well in the A League games. He's the sort of youngster that I want to be able to generate more of. We see him as a development project. He's got ability. And to have presence of personality to go to the other side of the world on your own and put yourself out there is quite strong."
