England's opening World Cup opponents Fiji will conclude their preparations for the tournament by tackling Canada at the Twickenham Stoop.

Harlequins have confirmed their home ground as venue for the September 6 meeting, which comes 12 days before Fiji face England across the other side of the A316 at Twickenham.

England's World Cup pool also features Wales, Australia and Uruguay, with only two teams making it through to the quarter-finals.

Fiji head coach John McKee said: "This match is very important in our build-up to the Rugby World Cup and the opening match against England.

"The [Fiji] squad will have been together since July 1 and have a Pacific Nations Cup campaign and reconditioning camp in Fiji behind them.

"This match will put the final touches on our preparation before entering our World Cup team base."
