New Zealand's management team have accepted a fine for a technical breach during their emphatic Bledisloe Cup victory over Australia on Saturday.

Acting water carrier Liam Messam illegally entered the field of play in the 29th minute of the Eden Park Test, which constituted a breach of tournament rules.

A SANZAR statement on the Rugby Championship website read: "Under tournament rules, water carriers are not permitted within the playing enclosure while the match is in progress.

"All Blacks' team management accepted responsibility for this breach and has been issued a fine of A$2000."

Steve Tew, New Zealand Rugby CEO, said: "We fully accept that we breached the sideline protocols during the match on the weekend and we accept the fine. I have made it clear to the All Blacks team management that it was a mistake we cannot repeat."
