Eddie Jones has urged his England players to dominate next year's British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.

Jones, who led England to a grand slam in his first Six Nations at the helm, has ruled himself out of leading the Lions against the All Blacks.

However, he wants to see at least 15 of his international players on the plane.

"As much as I'd like to coach the Lions, I'll be going to Argentina with England in June 2017, hopefully with a very weakened team," Jones told talkSPORT2.

"My contribution to the Lions is to make sure we've got 15 players to make the Lions stronger at the end of next year's Six Nations."

On Thursday, the RFU announced the appointment of Neal Hatley as Jones' first full-time scrum coach.

Hatley will join Jones' coaching staff from Bath at the end of the season, and the Australian has backed the former London Irish prop to be a success.

"Neal is the type who will thrive in an international environment," Jones said.

"Successful English rugby teams have always had strong, powerful, dominant scrums, so this is an important appointment."
