Ignacio Corleto, one of the most important members of Los Pumas team will not compete in the next three tournaments of the World Seven Series.

He decided not to travel because of "personal reasons". Juan Martín Berberián, the Mar del Plata Rugby Club winger, will replace him.

In the current competition standings Argentina share seventh place with Georgia and France on 12 points.

Corleto had been tempted to play at Mar del Plata stage, but he preferred to take a break because 1999 was a very strong and long year.

Gonzalo Beccar Varela, the trainer that will lead the argentine expedition in February, also called Roberto Travaglini (plays for CASI), Gustavo Piergentili (Roca RC), Jose ñuñez Piossek (Huirapuca; he got injured in Mar del Plata but he'll recover), Martin Gaitan (CASI), Forrester(Curupayti), Pichot (CASI; brother of Bristol's player Agustin), Daniel Villen (La Plata RC), Alejandro Tenca(San Fernando), Leandro Molinuevo(Huirapuca), Jose Raiteri (CASI) and Pablo Bouza (Duendes).

Elsewhere in Argentina, Gonzalo Camardón, who has been playing for Los Pumas for almost 10 years, will travel on Monday 31 January to join RDS Rome, the current leaders of Pool B in the Italian championship.

Camardón, 29-year-old back, has occupied many positions all through his career, but in Rome he'll specifically do the kicking.

"I've concentrated my training on just this part of the game in the last few days", said the Alumni team player.

He is regarded as one of the most versatile players in international rugby having played in every position from scrum-half to fullback.

In the last World Cup, he played as a wing. At the RDS Rome, he will join another Argentine player, Ramiro Martínez Frugnoni, former pillar of SIC team. The contract will keep him up to the end of the tournament in June so he'll travel with his wife and his daughter.

Camardon will replace South African fly half Kenneth Ford, who has had to return home for family reasons.
