Harlequins have signed England A back row forward Roy Winters from Bedford for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old has five caps at `A' level and joined the full England squad on the recent tour of South Africa. Chief executive Mark Evans said: ``We are delighted to have signed Roy. He is an extremely talented and dedicated professional. His signing strengthens our squad in a vital area. ``I see Roy as one of the most promising young players in the country and I fully expect him to have a strong influence upon the coming season.'' Winters is the second Bedford player to leave for Harlequins this week after the signing of Ryan O'Neill, a full back who once played for Quins' development side. |
