Pichot misses France clash
June 11, 2003

Argentina and Bristol Shoguns scrum-half Agustin Pichot is set to miss Saturday's first test against France in Buenos Aires.

The 28 year-old picked up an ankle injury in training this week and looks like being replaced by Matias Albina, who will win his third Pumas cap after making his debut against Uruguay two years ago.

Pichot has struggled with a knock to his ankle since coming off injured in the Shoguns last Premiership game of the season against London Irish in May, and missed out on the Barbarians tour of the UK.

The experienced half back will be hoping to return to the Pumas test side in time for the second clash against the French the following weekend.

Former Shoguns fly-half Felipe Contepomi is still in contention for the number 10 shirt and will be keen to continue in the same form that saw him score 15 points and a try against the French in the 28-27 win over them in June last year.
