June 11, 2003

Internationals Kevin Sorrell (England) and Nicky Little (Fiji) will help kick-off the IRB's Under 21s World Cup held in the Oxfordshire region from Friday 13th - 29th June.

Sorrell and Little will lead a coaching tag rugby clinic tomorrow, Thursday at 1.00pm - 3.00pm.

The duo both play for Saracens, will launch Henley Rugby Club's opening ceremony. Henley, alongside Newbury and Oxford's Iffley Road and Kassam Stadium, are the four venues hosting the 12 team international tournament.

Youngsters aged between ten and 11 years, old from 12 schools in the region, have been invited to attend and they will all then be given the chance to test their skills in a round-robin tag rugby tournament.

The top two teams then get the chance to showcase their talents as part of a curtain raiser game to the Under 21s World Cup final to be held at the Kassam Stadium on June 29.

To keep in the spirit of the Under 21s World Cup, each school will play under the name of a country participating in the tournament. They will also wear their colours.
