Ennis blocking out London 2012 in pursuit of world title

Defending world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis admits she is having to completely block the Olympics from her mind in order to repeat her 2009 World Championships success.
Ennis is the poster girl of the Great Britain squad and hopes are pinned tightly to the 25-year-old for an Olympic gold medal at London 2012. An indicator of form will come in Daegu over the next week, when Ennis attempts to secure her second world title.
The Sheffield athlete reigned in Berlin two years ago, but she confesses the pressure is tangible. To cope with it, Ennis admits she will not even allow herself to think about London until after the World Championships are over.
"At the moment I'm not thinking about London 2012," she told Sky Sports News. "The World Championships are a major championships and as an athlete I have to stay focused on this at the moment.
"Once this championship is over, that's when I'll really start thinking about the Olympics."
Ennis has produced personal bests in four different disciplines this year, including the 100m hurdles, the shot put, the 200m and the 800m. Ahead of her world title defence, the Brit is feeling confident.
"I definitely think there's a lot of pressure out there, I'm just anxious and ready to start," Ennis said. "I feel in good shape, I'm really happy with the work I've done with my coach. I'm looking forward to it."
