Chambers a doubt for Euros

Dwain Chambers could be axed from Great Britain's European Championships squad if he is forbidden from competing at London 2012.
Chambers is awaiting a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over whether or not his lifetime exclusion from the Olympics, imposed by the BOA, should be overturned.
And because UK Athletics chief Charles Van Commenee says that the Euros - the last chance for athletes to qualify for the Games - should be used as a warm-up for the Olympics, Chambers is unlikely to be brought into the party that competes in Helsinki during June.
"It still remains to be seen [whether Chambers will be included],'' Van Commenee said. ''Let's wait first to see what the result of the CAS process will be. It depends on when the announcement will be of the process. It's not set that CAS will come with a verdict on March 12 so we'll have to wait and see.
"We will use the European Championships in Helsinki as a preparation for London. That means we will not necessarily select the strongest possible team to win as many medals as possible, it will also mean that we will not only select young athletes to gain experience.
"We will select athletes where Helsinki fits into their preparation to do really well in London. You have to use it to your benefit."
