Usain Bolt triumphed in the men's 200m final at the World Championships in Moscow to add another gold medal to his tally, with Great Britain's Adam Gemili finishing fifth in the race.

The Olympic champion successfully defends his title and collects his seventh World Championships gold medal - to add to the six he already owns from the Olympics - setting a time of 19.66seconds to comfortably lead the field to the finish line.

Gemili, who qualified for the final by winning his semi-final heat and becoming the second fastest Briton of all-time, could only manage fifth.

"What an experience this whole champs has been for me. It's one of the most exciting things I've ever done," the 19-year-old said.

"There are no words to describe how I'm feeling. I knew I would be in the mix if I executed my race. I didn't execute it as well as I could have, but I still have a lot of people to thank. I'm very lucky and I'm really happy."

Britain's women meanwhile secured the bronze medal in the 4x400m, with captain Christine Ohuruogu pulling away on the final straight.

There was more medal success for Britain as Tiffany Porter took bronze in the women's 100m hurdles final.
