James Dasaolu eased to victory in the men's 60m at the Glasgow International Match to help Great Britain, without Scotland, finish second at the four-team event.

A Commonwealth Select team ran out as eventual winners with 62 points, three higher than the United Kingdom.

Hosts Scotland had to settle for fourth place, with the United States third, even though Laura Muir broke the national record in the women's 800m with a time of 2:00.94, the sixth quickest indoors time by a British woman.

"Training has gone really well and I've been working really hard," Muir, 20, told BBC Sport. "I'm so happy I could do it for this crowd. I did a 400m at the start of the year, which I got a personal best in, so I knew my speed was good and training was going really well."

Another Scottish record was set by Guy Learmonth in the men's 600m. Scotland won five of the 22 events overall, with Chris O'Hare taking the men's 1500m and paralympic athletes Stefanie Reid and Libby Clegg also tasting victory.

Scotland's captain Eilidh Child finished fourth in the women's 400m with a time of 53.69 behind winner Francena McCorory (51.79) of the United States.

"I went a little bit too hard and died a death," said Child. "I'm just going to keep doing more indoors and aim for the World Indoor Championships."
