James Dasaolu has revealed he and Dwain Chambers do not speak to one another as the pair prepare to go head-to-head at this weekend's British Athletics Indoor Championships.

The event, which acts as the trials for next month's World Indoor Championships in Poland, will see Dasaolu and Chambers compete at English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

And Dasaolu, who beat Chambers in their opening 60m race of the campaign in Glasgow last month, has fired a warning at Chambers by declaring the the 35-year-old's time is up.

"For me, the sport's kind of moving on and kind of progressing. We don't have to rely on Dwain to take up the mantle anymore. It's not down to me to write anyone off," Dasaolu said.

"The time may have come where Dwain's not going to be at the forefront of British sprinting. There are other names and other people coming through."

Dasaolu, 26, and Chambers are likely to participate for Great Britain at the European Championships and for England in the 4x100m relays at the Commonwealth Games.

But Dasaolu has indicated the pair do not have the friendliest of relationships.

"I don't really talk to Dwain at all. I have nothing to do with Dwain Chambers. He's just in a different camp to me. He's in a different generation," he said.
