Farah: I don't know if I'll be fit for Glasgow

Mo Farah remains doubtful over whether he will take part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this month.

Farah was recently admitted to hospital in the USA with abdominal pains and, as a result, had to pull out of a Diamond League meet in Glasgow.

Powell and Simpson get reduced bans

When asked whether he was fit enough to compete at the Commonwealth Games, Farah told BBC Radio 5Live: "It's a good question. I don't know.

"Hopefully I should be good. I have missed a bit of training, but we'll make a decision further down the line.

"I came back and had some tests done through British Athletics, which went well and now I've got the all-clear to get back into training, and I'll see what I can do.

"I'm just saying where I am right now. My aim is to compete in both events, but at the same time I'm getting back into training."

If he recovers in time, Farah will compete for England in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres in Glasgow. The games begin on July 23, although the track and field competitions do not start until July 27.

The double Olympic and world champion is due to run a two-mile race in London's Anniversary Games on Sunday.
