Ohuruogu may withdraw from Commonwealths squad

Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu has revealed that she may decide not to defend her 400 metres Commonwealth Games title - despite being named in the England squad for the competition.
Ohuruogu has not raced since June after tearing a quadriceps muscle, while she has competed a mere four times over 400m during an injury-hit 2010.
Having had so little preparation for the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, which begin in October, Ohuruogu is concerned that she will not be able to do herself justice.
The 26-year-old believes that she will be in a better position to make a decision on taking part after she has had a few more "key" training sessions.
"I would love to be in Delhi," she said. "But I'm the defending champion and also an Olympic champion and a past world champion, so I cannot perform under my best. The next couple of years are really important and if you are going to run, you have to run properly.
"I'm not in a position where I can just go and mess around for three weeks. Maybe a couple of years ago that would have worked but, as the defending champion, I rate myself a bit more highly than that.
"It's great to be selected for the Commonwealths but the most important thing now is to get back to full fitness and then decide what the rest of the season is going to look like.
"I've got to have a couple of key [training] sessions before I race. When I can do those sessions, I will know that I'm good to go. The problem with getting injured in the summer is that you lose your sharpness. Your racing legs take weeks to develop."
