Phillips Idowu's ongoing row with UK Athletics head coach Charles van Commenee shows no sign of relenting after the triple jumper took to Twitter to have another dig at the Dutchman.

Idowu was left seething after Van Commenee accused the world champion of announcing his withdrawal from last weekend's European Team Championships in Sweden via the social networking site without letting him know first.

With the fallout rumbling on, Van Commenee has moved to set up a meeting with Idowu to "find a solution together" but the athlete's post on Twitter on Monday seemingly ruled out the prospect of a quick reconciliation.

He tweeted: "After dispute over the weekend, drugs tester turned up to my house today. Coincidence? Lol [Laugh out loud]. Can't get rid of me that easily."

His most recent jibe comes a day after mocking the governing body, when he tweeted a tongue-in-cheek riposte to Van Commenee's comment that those who used Twitter had too much time on their hands and were "clowns and attention-seekers". He said: "I was just juggling and my daughter said I look like a clown. At least it wasn't for just being on Twitter."
